The highlights of this trip:

Itinerary

Arrival at Tan Son Nhat international airport. Welcome and pick up by your local guide. Take a panoramic view of the city before arriving at the hotel for installation and refreshment. 

In the evening, transfer for dinner cruise and enjoy the colorful night view of Saigon river

Start a full day visiting Ho Chi Minh City, also called as Saigon until 1975, the largest commercial city of Vietnam. First discover the lively and dynamic city by visiting Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office - designed by Gustave Eiffel with a distinctive style of architecture. Then visit the Reunification Palace, known as the Independence Palace, “Ngoc Hoang” Temple (the Emperor of Jade). Free time to explore Ben Thanh market with plenty of delicious local dishes at food stores section of the market. 

In the evening, you will be starting your night tour on the back of a vintage vespa to experience the booming craft beer scene. 

Our guides will take you on a journey to sample an extensive range of craft beer with locally inspired flavours such as jasmine, passion fruit and vanilla, as well as the more traditional tastes and inspired food pairings.

After breakfast, pick up from hotel to transfer to Vinh Long. Upon arrival, visit handicraft village, brick production facility, pottery. Take local boat to An Binh island, and start a cycling along village paths to visit the rural activities of the local people to get to know their rice planting line, listen to traditional music performance and visit a bonsai garden.

In the evening, you can join your host to prepare for dinner and learn more about the local life.

Waken up by the chirping sound of little birds in the garden, you can enjoy the calm, peaceful atmosphere of rural life in the Mekong Delta region. After breakfast, say goodbye to your host family, then take a boat trip to visit Cai Be floating market and houses that produce rice paper, pop-rice, coconut candy, understand the manufacturing process of these products and enjoy tasting. 

Transfer to Bassac cruise, departure towards Cho Lach on the Tien Giang river. Your lunch will be served while cruising. 

The cruise slips into the Cho Lach canal, in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the river traffic, between markets and churches, a unique opportunity for a glimpse of the very varied life on the banks as well as on the water. Visit of a village on the banks of river Mang Thit, an opportunity to appreciate the way of life and hospitality of the local inhabitants. Visit of the orchard or rice fields nearby.

Boarding back on boat. Enjoy the sunset from the deck. Your cruise will set anchor just downstream from the little Tra On floating market for the night. Overnight on boat.

You may get up for breakfast as early as 06:30, as the ship is resuming its cruise the Tra On floating market. The ship then departs towards Can Tho.

Take local boat trip to visit Cai Rang floating market where hundreds of boat all size gather to exchange their agriculture products. This is the most crowded and bustle floating market in Mekong Delta. Continue to visit a noodle factory and disembark at Ninh Kieu pier at mid-morning. 

Transfer to visit Binh Thuy temple and Binh Thuy ancient house before installation at hotel. 

Late in the afternoon, visit Bang Lang Stork Garden located approximately about 52km from city center. The garden covers about two hectares and is home to thousands of storks as well as many other kinds of birds. There are various species of storks living at including cattle egret, ibis, striated heron and painted stork…

Discover Can Tho city at your pace in the evening. Overnight at hotel

Morning departure toward “Sa Dec” – a small town on the banks of the Mekong, where the famous movie “The Lover” has was featured. Lunch and visit the Lover’s house, the colorful market and the primary school which were appeared in the movie. 

Head back to Saigon and install at hotel.

Transfer to the airport for flight departure to Da Nang. Enjoy seafood lunch and start visiting the city with Marble Mountains and Cham Museum. 

Continue to transfer to Hoi An, a small town of historical, architectural and sensory values. Stroll along the old streets of Hoi An, cross on the Japanese bridge, which is the most photographed monument in the city. Visit the famous Ancient House of the city and a Chinese congregation… Dinner will be served with Hoi An specialties, especially “Cao Lau” – Hoi An’s famous dish.

Head to Hue, enjoy vegetarian lunch in a pagoda. Visit the tomb of Emperor “Tu Duc”. Stop at incense and conical hats making place. Take a boat trip along Huong Rivier to visit Thien Mu pagoda on the left bank of the river. Transfer to hotel for installation.  

In the evening, enjoy royal dinner with royal costumes that is similar to the royalty back in the imperial era. There will be a signature musical show during dinner time. Each dish in the menu is the subject of a sophisticated presentation of a mythical animals in Asian culture.  

In the morning, visit Hoi An’s colourful market, and experience the sights, sounds and aromas of this busy market. You will have the opportunity to interact with the local sellers and purchase some of the ingredients to be used in the cooking lesson later on. Embark on a boat trip along the Hoi An River to the cooking school. 

During the cooking class, you will be able to learn to use different herbs used in Vietnamese dishes, prepare the dishes by yourselves with demonstrations by cook chef and you will also get to know a brief introduction to Vietnamese food carving for plate decoration.

Transfer back to hotel and enjoy your free time at the resort.

Explore the Imperial Citadel of Hue from Ngo Mon gate or South gate which features a complex architecture with its five-phoenix flor. The area was also used as a stage during important and solemn ceremony. Go on to visit Thai Hoa Palace, built in 1805 and held the coronation of 13 Emperors of Nguyen Dynasty.  Walk to Dong Ba local market, one of the symbols of the poetic Hue City and have a taste of local specialty - “Bun bo Hue” for lunch. 

Continue the journey enjoying Hue signature dishes, such as: steam cakes Banh beo, banh loc, banh nam, banh uot…; fried cake banh ram, pancake banh khoai,lemongrass skewers with grilled pork nem lui…

Transfer to the station for overnight train to Ninh Binh

Arrive at Ninh Binh early in the morning, transfer for breakfast before heading to discover Ninh Binh, also known as “Ha Long Bay on land”. Take a traditional boat trip into the middle of green paddy fields and rocky peaks to enjoy the natural scene at Van Long. 

At lunch, taste of goat skewers – a signature dish from Ninh Binh and “Com Chay” (Crispy rice) along with other delicious local dishes. 

In the afternoon, take a bicycle ride to explore the beautiful scenery of this peaceful countryside. Visit Dinh Le temple and overnight at hotel.

Depart for Ha Long Bay, a natural wonder of Vietnam. Ha Long Bay is dotted with more than 3,000 islands and islets of all sizes with various silhouettes. Sailing in the bay while enjoy seafood lunch on board. Explore the inside of Ha Long Bay’s enormous caves. 

Dinner and overnight on board.

Waking up early in the morning and start Taichi session on the deck. Breakfast on board. Continue cruising through the bay and enjoy brunch on board. Disembark around 11AM and head to Hanoi. 

Free time in the evening to explore the capital at night

Visit Ba Dinh square with Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda, Ho Chi Minh Stilt House and the Temple of Literature which was built in the 11th century, is also Vietnam first’s university. 

In the afternoon, discover Hanoi’s special cuisine such as “Banh Tom” (shrimp fritters), “Pho” (beef or chicken soup), “Banh Cuon” (pork and black mushroom ravioli), “Bun Cha” (grilled pork mince with rice vermicelli) and “Che” (sweet dessert). Return and overnight at the hotel. 

At leisure until time to transfer to airport for your flight back home.
