Ao Vua

Ao Vua (King's Pond) Situated in the north side of Tan Vien Mountains in Ba Vi, Ha Tay and 65 km north far from Hanoi, Ao Vua is a harmonious combination of mountains, forests and springs. The springs pouring down stone chutes from the height of 200m creates graceful silver rapids.

The name Ao Vua originated from a legend: it used to be the place for Thuy Tinh’s armed forces gathering in battles against Son Tinh. Hundred of metres above, on the top of U Bo peak, stands a deep well that used to be the place where Son Tinh used his sword to find fresh water. It’s the very precious water source that helps him escape danger. The beauty of nature and the sublimation of the legend give the place strange attraction.
