Things to See in Ha Giang in March

The highland of Ha Giang, in spite of its poverty and extreme climate, is still one of the favored areas of "flowers" in the country. Each season features a distinctive brilliant beauty which makes the tourism brand for the province in the northernmost area.

If Dong Van Stone Plateau is very famous for its buckwheat season in October, for its color of peach and plum by stone fences, the white color of pear blossom under roofs and walls, then spring - March is also the time when the red silk cotton flowers bloom in a red heaven.

Red silk-cotton flowers also known as “moc mien”, or Po Lang flowers. In the middle of spring, after the season of plum and peach blossoms comes to the end, it is also the time when red silk cotton flowers start to bloom, and will last a quite long time in a month depending on the weather. The location where red silk cotton flowers in Ha Giang are allocated with most density is Yen Minh district, along 4c Highway leading to the center of Dong Van Plateau and the road down from Meo Vac district. In which, the most beautiful and impressive is the distance from the commune of Can Ty and Dong Ha - Quan Ba district. Here, red silk cotton trees are grown in straight rows along Mien River which is clear blue.
