This adventure offers the perfect balance of exploration and relaxation: trek through lush lowland forests, encounter rare wildlife on a night safari, and venture deep into the jungle to the legendary Crocodile Lake. Along the way, you’ll learn about conservation efforts, meet local communities, and experience the tranquility of a riverside eco-lodge nestled in the wild. Whether you're a nature lover, photographer, or simply seeking a peaceful retreat, this trip offers an unforgettable glimpse into Vietnam's natural heritage.
Arrive at Cat Tien Jungle Lodge around noon and check in to your riverside room.
After a relaxing lunch at the lodge restaurant, begin your first nature walk in the national park. Trek to visit the Ancient Tung Tree, the Go Tree, and the Ben Cu Rapids, where you’ll discover the diverse flora and peaceful landscapes of the lowland rainforest.
Return to the lodge by late afternoon for some rest. After dinner, join the Night Safari Tour to spot nocturnal wildlife – including deer, civets, porcupines, and maybe wild boars – using spotlighting from an open vehicle.
After breakfast, embark on a journey to the legendary Bàu Sấu (Crocodile Lake). Travel by Jeep for 10 km through the national park, then continue with a 5 km trek through the jungle. At the lake, enjoy a simple lunch prepared by rangers while watching for Siamese crocodiles, water birds, and butterflies in the wetland ecosystem.
In the afternoon, return to the lodge for a relaxing swim in the eco-pool or visit the herbal garden. Before sunset, take a short walk to a nearby local village where you can interact with residents and sample traditional southern highland cuisine.
Start your morning with a peaceful trip to observe early morning wildlife along the riverbanks – monkeys, kingfishers, and perhaps otters.
After breakfast, visit the National Park Museum and the Bear and Primate Rescue Center, where you’ll learn about wildlife conservation efforts in the region.
Return to the lodge to freshen up and enjoy an early lunch before checking out at noon.
