Lao Chai - Ta Van

The villages of Lao Chai and Ta Van are two large villages in the Sapa tourist area. Lao Chai village is located 7 km from Sapa town, adjacent to Lao Chai village is Ta Van village, about 12km from Sapa town. At present, Lao Chai - Ta Van village is home to many ethnic groups such as H'Mong, Dao, Tay...

The village of Lao Chai is currently positioned as a rest spot for tourists trekking onward to the village of Tavan. Made up of almost entirely Black Hmong families, the only means to which the community has traditionally participated in the Sapa tourism industry is through street vendors following tourists along the trekking routes selling embroidered items. There are also a number of young women who have become tour guides in Sapa due to their ability to speak English. 

Lao Chai - Ta Van lies between majestic Hoang Lien Son mountain range and Ham Rong mountain. Two large mountains sheltered so the villagers live here a lot, creating a living space extremely exciting, attractive.

It is hard to believe that under the wild Hoang Lien Mountains can form two large villages, beautiful and crowded ethnic people live so.

Surrounding Lao Chai village - Ta Van is a large terraced fields. These fields have been around for decades. H'mong and Dao live in Lao Chai - Ta Van still grows rice on these ancient terraces.

The beautiful scenery of the terraces vast terraces create a beautiful space for the memories of the visit to Lao Chai - Ta Van.

Like the Cat Cat village, Lao Chai village and Ta Van village, there is still a beautiful cultural identity of the Mong, Dao, Tay, Giay ... ethnic groups have decades living in this land Sapa.
